Our local primary school, St Michael’s has an established link with a primary school in Abonse in Ghana. Many children in Ghana do not receive secondary education, as the Ghanian government is not economically able to offer free education for all children under 18, something we take for granted here in the UK, and the fees are beyond the means of the vast majority of families.
Dreyfus Training & Development funds the secondary school fees for a pupil. Click here for more information. The cost of this sponsorship is £350 per year for five years and this pays for one pupil’s secondary education.
