<li>Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)</li>
<li>Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)</li>
<li>Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)</li>
<li>Social, Emotional and Behavioural Development needs (SEBD/BESD)</li>
<li>Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)</li>
</ul>
<p>Dates for Special Educational Needs and Disability courses  have been set for the Autumn Term 2011 in partnership with Wandle Valley School and The Mulberry Bush Organisation.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Work has just begun with Nottingham City Council on developing an authority-wide approach to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Provision Management.</p>
<p>The aims of this project are to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Achieve common agreement between the Local Authority and primary and secondary schools regarding the provision which all mainstream schools should make for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities at a universal level, at school action and at school action plus;</li>
<li>To build on the work already taking place in mainstream schools in the use of provision mapping and to introduce a system of Provision Management to enable schools to plan more strategically to provide for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities by auditing pupil needs, planning and costing provision, setting expected outcomes and collecting outcome data to demonstrate the effectiveness of their special provision and whether it represents value for money.</li>
</ul>
<p>Dates have been agreed with the National Union of Teachers Continuing Professional Development team on training dates for the academic year 2011/2012 in the areas of <a href="behaviour-improvement-in-schools/">improving behaviour</a> and <a href="special-educational-needs-and-disbilities">Special Educational Needs and Disabilities</a> (SEND).</p>

Dreyfus provided extensive consultancy support and staff training during the planning and implementation stages of this innovative provision</p>
